WELCOME, 2026
You've been a long time coming
It’s a new year. 2026.
Tell your loved ones how grateful you are to have them in your life.
Show grace to those in need.
Show patience for those who cannot see what you see.
Show resilience against those who wish to diminish you.
Listen to those who know much more about a topic than you.
Be humble, even when you do know more than others.
Stand against greed, hate, bigotry, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, and ignorance.
Rub a cat’s belly.
Play with a dog.
Let an elderly person know you see them.
Make a shy child smile without touching them.
Have a serious conversation with a toddler. You’ll be shocked at what you’ll discover.
Share, don’t lecture, share.
Hug your kids.
The thing you always regretted not doing? Do it.
We all die. So live while alive.
Do good, be nice, and always defend those who cannot defend themselves.
Read a good book. Then read another. If you like the book, leave a review. Buy a copy and give it to a friend in need. You will feel better after you do.
Go to a museum, look at some serious art. It’ll change your life.
Listen to a good song. Like the one below. Really.
It’s easy to tear stuff down. Too easy. People, places, things, ideas. Destruction is the easiest thing in the universe to do. So make something, build something. Create something. Like the song below. People hate on things others love, but they create nothing themselves. Create, don’t hate. Even a badly written song, film, or book offers something to the world more than hate does.
The nature of things is change. Everything changes. So if things are difficult, they will improve. Good things will get better. Better and better, but only if you keep an eye out for it. But it’s there, trust me, friends, it is absolutely there.
Namaste.

truly words of wisdom Wishing you are yours a better 2026.
Thanks for this! Great reminder to focus on the really important stuff. Oh, and FANTASTIC song choice! I’ve listened to that album a million times- obviously did not pay attention to the video, as I did not realize Courtney Cox was in it.
Happy New Year! Here’s hoping this year will be better than the last.
